How to fix it

When exporting your PDF, turn on font embedding (in Word: File > Save As > More options > Tools > Save Options > check "Embed fonts in the file"; in InDesign or similar: enable subset/embed fonts on export). Without this, KDP's printer may substitute a different font and your layout will shift.

How to fix it

Set the document properties before exporting: in Word go to File > Info and fill in Title and Author; in InDesign use File > File Info.
